ACLS Virtual Renewal Testing (VRT)

All session times are Central Standard time (CST)

*If you did not add BLS during registration, ignore those steps.

STEP 1: Send a copy of your current AHA ACLS & BLS card to info@actnt.com

STEP 2: Complete The ACLS AHA Precourse Self-Assessment & AHA ACLS Precourse Work

STEP 3: *Watch All The BLS Required Videos (2)

  • If you chose to add BLS, you will be given access to the required videos in an email, along with your login information.
  • Send an email when you have completed watching all the videos to info@actnt.com .

STEP 4: AHA Online Written Exams (3)

  • After receipt of the Precourse Preparation Completion Certificate, you will receive an email from heart.org giving access to the online AHA ACLS written exam.
  • *After receipt of an email confirming you have watched all the BLS videos you will receive an email from heart.org giving access to the online AHA BLS written exam.

STEP 5: Time Required To Complete

  • All of the previous steps must be completed 7 days prior to your scheduled skills session date.

STEP 6: Skills Testing Package

  • A skills testing package will be shipped to you via the USPS prior to your scheduled skills testing session.
    • If not completed 7 days prior to scheduled skills testing session, we are unable to ensure your skills testing package will arrive in time.

STEP 7: Day Of Session

  • On the day of your Zoom skills testing session, you will receive an email about 5-10 minutes prior to your Zoom meeting session time. A link is included in the email to join the Zoom meeting in progress.
  • Please have all your equipment ready on the day of your session
  • Your camera must be able to view the equipment on a solid surface for the AHA instructor to view.

STEP 8: After Session Is Complete

  • Re-package all the equipment in the original box, attach the prepaid label and deliver to the USPS.(4)
  • Your AHA ecard(s) will be issued on the day of your skills testing session.

(1) AMA PRA Category 1: 3   •  AMA PRA Category 1 (PA’s): 3   •  ANCC: 3   •  ACPE:  3   •  CAPCE: 3

(2) * We will verify you have watched all the videos on our website prior to granting access to the AHA online BLS written exam.

(3) The AHA has adopted an open-resource policy for exams administered online or in a classroom-based course. Open resource means that the student may use resources while completing the exam.
Resources could include the AHA Provider Manual, student notes, ECC Handbook, AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, posters, etc. Open resource does not mean open discussion with other students or the instructor.

(4) If package is not delivered to the USPS  within 5 days (verified in USPS tracking system) after your scheduled skills testing session, your ecard will be classified as void in the AHA database so any attempt to verify the validity of the ecard will be unsuccessful.

STEP 5: Time Required To Complete

  • The AHA HeartCode® completion ACLS & *BLS certificate(s) must be received 7 days prior to your scheduled skills session date.

STEP 6: Skills Testing Package

  • A skills testing package will be shipped to you via the USPS prior to your scheduled skills session.

STEP 7: Day Of Session

  • On the day of your Zoom skills testing session, you will receive an email about 5-10 minutes prior to your Zoom meeting session time. A link is included to join the Zoom meeting in progress.

Instructions for BLS Virtual Renewal Testing (VRT)

Thank you for registering for American Heart Association® BLS Virtual Renewal Testing (VRT)

All session times are Central Standard Time (CST).

STEP 1:
Please send us a copy of your American Heart Association® BLS card as soon as possible to info@actnt.com.

  • This must be received for the process to begin.

STEP 2:
Once the card copy is received, you will receive your login information via email to view the required AHA BLS videos.

  • These videos are viewed on our password protected, monitored website.
  • After you complete watching all the videos, send an email to notify us you are done.
  • Your login information is monitored and is used to verify that you have met this requirement.

STEP 3:
After watching all the BLS videos, you will be given access to the online AHA BLS exam.

  • You will be given 2 opportunities to score a minimum of 84% on the written exam.
    • The AHA has adopted an open-resource policy for exams administered online or in a classroom-based course.
    • Open resource means that students may use resources while completing the exam. Resources could include the AHA Provider Manual, student notes, ECC Handbook, AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, posters, etc. Open resource does not mean open discussion with other students or the instructor.
  • If you are unable to meet the 84% scoring requirement after 2 attempts, contact us at info@actnt.com for your options to continue.

STEP 4:
After watching all the BLS videos and completing the written exam, you are then ready to complete your VRT skills testing on your scheduled session date.

  • Watching all the videos and successfully completing the written exam must be completed a MINIMUM of 7 days PRIOR to your scheduled session.

STEP 5:
A skills testing package will be shipped to you via the USPS prior to your scheduled skills testing session.

    • If precourse requirements (videos & written exam) are not completed 7 days prior to scheduled skills testing session, we are unable to ensure your skills testing package will arrive in time.

STEP 6:
On the day of your VRT session, you will receive an email about 5 – 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time with a link to join the Zoom meeting in progress.

  • Please have all your equipment ready the day of your session.
  • Your camera must be able to view the equipment on a solid surface for the AHA instructor to view.
  • If you do not receive the Zoom meeting email by 5 minutes past your scheduled time, send us a text to 866-822-2868 and notify us.

STEP 7:
After completion of your VRT skills testing, you will repackage the skills equipment, use the included prepaid label and deliver to the USPS.
NOTE: If package is not delivered to the USPS  within 5 days (verified in USPS tracking system) after your scheduled skills testing session, your ecard will be classified as void in the AHA database so any attempt to verify the validity of the ecard will be unsuccessful.

STEP 8:
After completion, you will receive an email with an evaluation attached. Please complete and return promptly.

STEP 9:
You will receive your AHA BLS ecard on the day of your skills testing session via an email from heart.org (American Heart Association®) .

Instructions for BLS Virtual Skills Testing (VST)

Thank you for registering of the American Heart Association® BLS Virtual Skills Testing (VST)

STEP 1:
Complete the online American Heart Association® HeartCode® BLS course.

  • You may purchase this course at www.actnt.com/e-learning.
  • If purchased from another vendor, it must be the American Heart Association® HeartCode® course, no other will be accepted.

STEP 2:
Send us a copy of your AHA HeartCode® online course completion certificate to info@actnt.com.

STEP 3:
You must complete your AHA HeartCode® online course a MINIMUM of 7 days PRIOR to your scheduled VST session.

STEP 4:
A skills testing package will be shipped to you via the USPS prior to your scheduled skills testing session.

    • If precourse requirements (videos & written exam) are not completed 7 days prior to scheduled skills testing session, we are unable to ensure your skills testing package will arrive in time.

STEP 5:
On the day of your VST Skills Testing Session, you will receive an email about 5 – 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time with a link to join the Zoom meeting in progress.

  • Please have all your equipment ready on the day of your session.
  • Your camera must be able to view the equipment on a solid surface for the AHA instructor to view.
  • If you do not receive the Zoom meeting invitation email by 5 minutes past your scheduled time, send us a text at 866-822-2868 to notify us.
  • Your session will start promptly at the scheduled time. If you do not respond to the Zoom meeting email request to join the meeting by 15 past your scheduled time, your session will be cancelled. You will be given 1 rescheduling opportunity before you will need to register and pay the fee again.

STEP: 6
After completion of your VST skills testing, you will repackage the equipment, use the included prepaid shipping label, and deliver to the USPS.
NOTE: If package is not delivered to the USPS  within 5 days (verified in USPS tracking system) after your scheduled skills testing session, your ecard will be classified as void in the AHA database so any attempt to verify the validity of the ecard will be unsuccessful.
