This fast and convenient online
course provides immediate access to advanced cardiac
life support (ACLS) training. Perfect for health
care professionals or anyone needing certification
or recertification, eACLS™ features:
-Highly interactive
activities that satisfy the knowledge requirements
of ACLS training.
-Substantial savings
over conventional classroom ACLS courses.
-Instant continuing
education credits upon successful completion of the
online course.
-Anytime, anywhere
learning — at your own pace, and in the comfort of
your home or office.
-You can complete the entire
course in just a few hours.
eACLS™ is
developed in partnership with the American College
of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), a leader in
emergency medicine education and health education.
The eACLS™ course features
two components: knowledge review and practical
skills-check. If your employer does not require a
practical skills-check, you simply need to
successfully complete the knowledge portion online
before you can print out your eACLS™
Course Completion Certificate and continuing
education credits receipts.
The online course takes an
average of four hours to complete (approximately 20
minutes per topic). After completing all 10 sections
of the course, a 50-question final exam follows. A
score of 84% or higher on the final exam is
required.
An alternative to traditional,
classroom-based ACLS training, the self-directed
HeartCode™ ACLS eLearning program uses
eSimulation technology to let students participate
in realistic patient scenarios, assess patients
based on the most recent American Heart Association®
guidelines, and formulate treatment -- online and at
their own pace. As they train, an evaluation
mechanism and intelligent debriefing provide
students with immediate and objective feedback on
whether their actions were correct or incorrect, and
offer suggestions for improvement.
Other features
include the ability to treat multiple rhythms
(megacode) in the same scenario; a new respiratory
arrest case; a new code clock; a team dynamics
lesson; a precourse self-assessment that helps
students gauge their knowledge of ECG recognition
and pharmacology; access to patient scenarios and
text material for up to two years; and the full text
(in PDF form) of the ACLS Provider Manual, and the ACLS Core Drugs reference guide.
NOTE:
You must purchase one online HeartCode™ ACLS Part 1
program for each student you need to train. Upon
completion of the online, cognitive portion of the
course (Part 1), students are then tested (*Part 2) with a
certified American Heart Association® ACLS
instructor. Successful completion of all three parts
meets the requirements for the issuing of an
American Heart Association® ACLS provider card.

provide treatment in a virtual setting. Students who
successfully complete the cognitive component (Part
1 CD), followed by successful skills
testing (*Part 2) with a PALS instructor,
receive an American Heart Association® PALS Provider
