HeartCode ACLS Anywhere™ is an
official American Heart Association™
self-directed e-learning program.
An
alternative to traditional,
classroom-based ACLS training, the
self-directed HeartCode(TM) ACLS
eLearning program uses eSimulation
technology to let students
participate in realistic patient
scenarios, assess patients based on
the most recent American Heart
Association guidelines, and
formulate treatment -- online and at
their own pace.
As they
train, an evaluation mechanism and
intelligent debriefing provide
students with immediate and
objective feedback on whether their
actions were correct or incorrect,
and offer suggestions for
improvement.
Other
features include:
●
Ability
to treat multiple rhythms (mega-code)
in the same scenario
●
New
respiratory arrest case
●
New
code clock; a team dynamics lesson
●
Pre-course self-assessment that helps
students gauge their knowledge of
ECG
recognition and pharmacology
●
Access to patient scenarios and text
material for up to two years
●
Full
text (in PDF form) of the ACLS
Provider Manual, the 2005 American
Heart
Association Guidelines For CPR And
ECC, & the ACLS Core Drugs reference
guide
The HeartCode ACLS Anywhere™
program consists of two parts.
●
Part 1 is the CD-based/Web-Based cognitive component that allows users
to
work through the ACLS training curriculum at their own
pace, on the
computer of their
choice. No classroom training or attendance is
required.
●
Part 2 is the very important skills verification process,
which
can only be performed by
an AHA instructor.
Any AHA ACLS
Instructor can perform the skills
testing.
